Three floor systems, priced in the open

Every system starts with diamond grinding and minor crack repair. Example prices come from the same pricing the designer uses and are before HST.

Full Flake

For garages and busy floors. Decorative chips across the whole floor under a clear topcoat, so dust and small marks are hard to see.

    …

Stem walls and steps can be added. Colour blends chosen from samples.

    Solid-Colour Epoxy

For a clean, simple floor in one colour. A practical choice for garages, basements and work areas.

      …

Solid colours show dust and scuffs more than flake.

      Metallic Epoxy

For a showpiece floor. Metallic pigments are worked by hand into a seamless, flowing pattern, so every floor is one of a kind.

        …

Flat floor surfaces only; no walls or steps. Needs sound, flat concrete.

        Commercial epoxy flooring

Commercial floors are priced per square foot, with lower rates for larger areas. Food-service, chemical-exposure and rated slip-resistance projects get a site assessment first.

        What goes into the floor

How an epoxy floor is built, layer by layer

Choose a system, then select a layer to see what it does.

        Concrete preparation

Why preparation decides how long the floor lasts

A coating only lasts if it bonds to the concrete, and poor surface preparation is a common reason floors peel. That is why preparation is built into every price on this page.

        Inspection

We check the slab for cracks, old coatings, contamination and moisture before confirming the system and price.

        Diamond grinding

Grinding opens the surface of the concrete so the coating can grip it. Roll-on kits over smooth or sealed concrete are a common cause of peeling.

        Crack and surface repair

Minor cracks and chips are filled before coating. Larger damage is assessed on site and priced separately.

        Moisture

Moisture rising through a slab can push a coating off. Basements with damp spots or efflorescence are tested before we recommend a system.

        Base, finish and topcoat

The base coat, decorative layer and protective topcoat are applied in sequence, following the product's instructions for each coat.

        Curing

Curing time depends on the products, temperature and humidity. We give you walk-on and drive-on times for your floor in your written quote.

        Where Epoxy Flooring Works Best

Epoxy suits concrete floors that take real wear or never seem to look clean. Garages are the most common project, where a seamless coating stands up to vehicles, tools and daily traffic. Basement floors benefit from a surface that is easy to maintain, and porches and commercial spaces benefit from a hard-wearing finish.

Our recent work includes a metallic epoxy two-car garage in Georgetown, a blue flake porch in Brampton where old tile was removed first, and a garage in Caledon. You can read what those homeowners said in our customer reviews.

Flake or Metallic: Choosing a Finish

Flake finishes add texture and colour variation, while metallic finishes create a polished, custom look. The right choice depends on how the space is used and the look you want, and we can talk through the options during your estimate.

What Affects the Cost of an Epoxy Floor

The main factors are the size of the floor, its current condition, how much grinding and crack or joint repair it needs, whether old flooring has to be removed, and the finish you choose. Preparation matters most, because the coating only lasts if it bonds properly to the concrete.
