Short answer: HomeStars reports commercial epoxy flooring at roughly $5 to $15 per square foot depending on the type of space, with industrial warehouses at the top of that range (guide updated August 21, 2026). Commercial floors usually cost more than residential garages because they need thicker coatings, slip resistance or chemical resistance, and careful scheduling around business hours.
Published commercial ranges
| Type of space | Reported cost per sq. ft. |
|---|---|
| Office | $5 to $10 |
| Restaurant | $6 to $12 |
| Retail | $7 to $12 |
| Healthcare | $8 to $14 |
| Industrial warehouse | $8 to $15 |
These are third-party figures, not NextWave Renos prices. Your price depends on the slab, the system and the schedule.
What drives a commercial price
Condition of the slab. Old coatings, oil, cracks and joints need attention before coating. Manufacturers specify a profiled, clean surface: Euclid Chemical's instructions call for CSP 2 to 5 and, where a pull-off test is specified, at least 250 psi (1.7 MPa) tensile strength.
Moisture. Slabs on grade often hold moisture. Euclid's instructions require a moisture mitigation system if testing shows 85% relative humidity or more (ASTM F2170) or 3 lbs per 1,000 sq. ft. per 24 hours or more (ASTM F1869), and warn against coating slabs on grade without a vapour barrier underneath unless that risk is addressed.
How the floor is used. Forklifts, vehicle traffic, chemicals, washdowns and foot traffic all point to different thicknesses, textures and topcoats.
Downtime. Many businesses cannot close for a week. Faster-curing systems, phased work or after-hours installation can help, but they affect cost. Ask for the cure time before foot traffic and before full use, in writing.
Planning checklist for business owners
- Measure the area and note columns, drains and joints
- List what touches the floor: vehicles, carts, chemicals, water
- Decide whether you need slip resistance or line striping
- Agree on access, working hours and when the space must reopen
- Ask how moisture will be tested and what happens if it is high

Two published Google reviews describe NextWave Renos commercial work: one for a commercial showroom, which mentions "concrete preparation, edges and overall consistency of the floor", and one for a commercial space where the team "worked around our scheduling requirements".
